ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to chair the ninth meeting of the Gilgit-Baltitan Council on 25th October at Cadet College Skardu. The local members of GB council will apprise the PM about the reservations of the people of GB on key regional issues included constitutional rights and imposition of taxes. The meeting will also discuss various development projects for the region besides other 20 agenda items.
PM will also inaugurate the construction work of Gilgit-Skardu road.
In the meeting, the federal government will be represented by Miniter for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit=Baltistan Barjees Tahir and six other non-local members of the council. Governir Gilgit-Baltistan, Chief Minister and six members from GB will represent Gilgit-Baltistan in the meeting.
This will be the 4th meeting of the present council and the ninth meeting of the GB council after its formation.
The local chapter of PMLN is expected to organize a public gathering in order to mobilize party workers and local people.
