GILGIT: Pakistan Motor Rally will start on October 21st from Khunjerab Pass and end on October 31st at Gwadar to commemorate the 70th year of independence under the auspices of Pakistan Army.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), 300 jeeps, 500 motorcycles and 150 Vintage Cars drawn from 23 Motor clubs across the country will be participating in this mega event of its kind.
Starting from Khunjerab, the rally will pass through Gilgit, Babusar, Islamabad, South Waziristan, Quetta and Karachi before ending.
The rally will cover more than 3000 km in 10 days.
The basic aims of the rally include promotion of adventure sports, showcasing tourism potential, cultural heritage, networking piecemeal and scant clubs dealing with the motorsports and encouraging vintage preservation in Pakistan.
The routes/areas selected for the rally are relatively less visible, developed with extraordinary efforts and serve as Seeds of Prosperity for Pakistan.
