NAB files corruption reference against former Health Secretary, Director of Health, and other officials for illegal appointments

Gilgit: National Accountability Bureau’s Gilgit-Baltistan sub-office has filed a corruption reference against top officials of Gilgit-Baltistan Health Department, including former Secretary, Dr. Hasan Khan Amaacha.

According to information shared by NAB, the Sub-Office Gilgit-Baltistan has filed a reference in Accountability Court Gilgit-Baltistan, Gilgit against Dr. Hasan Khan Ammacha (Ex-Secretary Health), Dr. Nazeem Khan (Ex-Director Health), Naseer-ud-din (Field Programme Officer), Sajjad Ali (Field Monitoring Coordinator), Abdul Jabbar (Field Monitoring Coordinator), Rehman-ud-din (Budget & Payroll Officer), Inam-ur-Rehman (Assistant Account Officer) and Muhammad Kamran (Assistant Logistic Officer). The officials have been accused of appointments and adjustments in the National Programme for Family Planning and Primary Health Care GB during 2011-2013.

The reference says that the appointing authorities, namely Dr. Hasan Khan Ammacha and Dr Nazeem Khan, appointed above mentioned accused persons in violation of the laid down criteria by misusing their authority.

Also, some of the appointees had prepared fake appointment orders by endorsing fake signatures of the then Secretary Health and Director Health. Some individuals had more than two different appointment orders, it has been alleged.
