GILGIT: National Accountability Bureau has approved launching of formal investigation against former GBLA Speaker Wazir Baig, former Deputy Speaker Jamil Ahmad and former Forest Minister Haji Gulbar Khan. Former Secretary of GB Assembly Abdullah Khan, and former conservator of Forest Zamrud Khan will also be investigated for alleged illegal activities, including nepotism and illegal appointments.
The decision was taken yesterday during an executive committee meeting of NAB.
The Speaker, Deputy Speaker and GB Assembly Secretary will be investigated for alleged illegal appointments.
