Rockfall hits tourist van in Hunza, mother dead, three injured

Hunza: A women was killed and three children were injured when a tourist van, registration number LES 7866, was hit by a rockfall near the Pakistan-China Friendship Tunnels in Hunza on Saturday.

Police identified the deceased as Yasmeen Khalid, 41, wife of Khalid Mehmood. The injured include one year old Inaya Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, 16, and Ahsan Khalid, 22.

The injured were shifted to Gilgit after receiving first aid at Aga Khan Health Center Aliabad, Hunza.

The victims had come to Hunza from Dera Ghazi Khan to spend holidays. The are believed to be from the same family.
