Police arrests two suspected terrorists in Gilgit, IEDs recovered


GILGIT: GB Police on Friday arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered ‘large amounts of explosive’, an AK-47 and three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from them.

Sharing details, an official, requesting anonymity, said that the suspected terrorists are residents of Sharote, an area located in the vicinity of Gilgit city. The detained suspected terrorists have been identified as Sirajuddin, son of Jafar Ali, and Hasnain Alam son of Jalal Akbar.

The detained individuals have reportedly confessed that they had prepared the IEDs for terrorist attacks in Gilgit-Baltistan.
