Poll Results: 88 % oppose naming of Chowk in Gilgit after Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif

GILGIT: More than 6, 900 responded votes in a recent poll started by Pamir Times. The poll asked the respondents the following question: Do you support renaming of Public Chowk Gilgit as Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Chowk?

6,900 people responded. Of the total, 6,100 (88%) said that they did not support the decision, while 797 (12 %) supported the decision.

The poll was held in view of Chief Minister’s announcement that the Public Chowk located in Jutial will be renamed after Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
