Resident of Gais Bala (Chilas) demand judicial probe of cable-wire snapping incident, compensation

Gilgit, September 15: Elders of Gais Bala, a village of Diamer District located near Chilas, destroyed due to flash floods in 2010 addressed a press conference in Gilgit.

The village elders demanded of the government to resolve their long-standing issues of access, infrastructure, health and electricity. They also demanded of the government to investigate the makeshift cable-wire snapping incident in which 8 people had lost their life.

They also demanded monetary compensation for the affected families.
