Bank official, another shot dead in Gilgit
GILGIT, March 18: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior official of First MicroFinance Bank along with one of his relatives here on Wednesday.
Police said Mr Zaman, a senior official of the bank, accompanied by a relative identified as Rafiq was going home when the gunmen ambushed them in the Napora area. The victims died on the spot.
Deputy Commissioner Gilgit Sardar Saifullah Dogar said police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and launched operation to trace the culprits.
The city police said the bodies were handed over to the legal heirs after postmortem. Dawn

I am personally very showked about the tragic demise of one of our devoted and sincere FMFB Family member Mr. Zaman, it is of course an unrepairable loss to The FMFB particular and for the area in general. but at the same time providing us an opportunity to stand on our bank’s mission and vision statement with more didication and allegiance to serve the deprived and needed people of the area.
What soever the culprits intention behind this bitter crime,it is a loss for all of us.

We really condemn this brutal murder and there is no doubt that there are certain elements that do not want peace and tranquility in this beautiful part of the country.
