Integrated regional development discussed at session organized by KADO
Hunza, February 17: (PR) Karakorum Area Development Organization (KADO) conducted a day long brainstorming session for the Local Support Organizations (LSOs) of the Hunza here in Aliabad. The purpose of the gathering was to develop mutual understanding between grass root level organizations and KADO for holistic development of the region through integrated approach. Participant, including leaders and members of the LSOs, shared their experiences and challenges including problems of resource mobilization and lack of good governance practices during the session.
Kamal Udin, CEO – KADO appreciated the efforts and contributions of the LSOs towards bringing positive and visible change in the society. He assured the participants to extend his technical support and guidance in resource mobilization and to improve governance structures of the LSOs. Which will play pivotal role for the sustainability and viability of the LSOs.
Later, Kamal briefed and guided LSOs management on the proposal calls announced by USAID Ambassador Fund and assured all the nine LSOs that the KADO team will help to devise the winning proposals.
Participants highly appreciated the efforts and initiatives of KADO, and requested the organization to take such initiatives on regular basis to improve the socio- economic conditions of the mountain community.
