Chitral: More than 200 people suffer due to food poisoning after wedding feast

Chitral: Emergency has been declared in a hospital in the remote Drosh Valley of Chitral district, KPK. More than two hundred people, including women and children, have been rushed to the emergency ward because of food poisoning caused by a wedding feast.

The patients are reportedly vomiting and also suffering due to loose motion (diarrhea).

Local reporters are saying that the hospital in the region does not have the capacity to handle such a large number of patients. Some of the people brought to the hospital have been sent home after first aid, said a reporter based in Chitral.
