Gilgit-Baltistan is not Kashmir’s colony

The militant and political nationalists of Indian-Occupied Kashmir, and their allies in Azad Kashmir, need to stop treating Gilgit-Baltistan as their colony. They are not our colonial masters. Their opposition to the constitutional and political empowerment of Gilgit-Baltistan is uncalled for, meaningless and unnecessary.
They cannot treat the 2 million people of Gilgit-Balitstan as their slaves. Gilgit-Baltistan is not their property. The era of Dogra occupation ended on 1st November 1947, when Ghansara Singh was arrested, and the Dogra forces were made to flee during the yearlong war.
The dark night of occupation and colonization ended on that day, and we have no intention of turning the clock back.
We, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, are the ones who will decide our future, not people who have no relationship whatsoever with us, neither in terms of language, nor in terms of culture and nor in history, except for the time when some parts of GB were under the Dogra occupation.
The people of Gilgit-Batlistan have every right to live a dignified life, according to their own wishes and aspirations. The GB Legislative Assembly, an elected forum of the people of GB, has rightly called for integration of Gilgit-Baltistan in to Pakistan. This should be carried out as soon as possible, to protect the identity, and ensure the human and political rights, of the people of GB.
Those from Kashmir who are opposing our rights are not our friends. They, most probably, are our wannabe future masters.
My appreciations for clear ideas regarding the GB and Kashmir dispute. Most of the leadership of Kashmir are selfish, non trust worthy, jealous etc. We have tested them time and again. It was 3-4 months before the Elections 1970 when a delegation of Hunza & Nagar liberation movement met the then top Kashmiri leaders in Karachi including Sardar Ibrahim, Sardar A Qayyum, A Manan, Amanullah Khan Astori and K H Khursheed and asked them to boycott the forthcoming Elections of AJK till such time the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are also given the right of vote in the AJK Assembly if they sincerely believe the GB as part of AJK. All of them promised to boycott and will not participate in the Elections. As the schedule of elections announced except KH Khursheed all others jumped into the process. Late KH Khursheed announced to boycott the Elections giving reasons that he has made commitment with a representative delegation of GB. Both the Sardars won their Seats and visited Karachi again. Students of GB met with the so called Kashmiri leaders and reminded of their promise. These leaders had nothing to defend their position. The students of GB abused them and asked them not to claim on the territory as part of Kashmir in future.
I totally agree with you. It is very sad and unfortunate that our so called leaders(who actually don’t represent us) be them Indian Puppets or Huriayat, are hypocrites and opportunists. Kashmir issue is the unfulfilled agenda of 1947, when the subcontinent was divided on the basis of communal representation. Hindu Majority areas went with India and Muslim majority areas went with Pakistan. I am wondering, on the one hand, Kashmiris are giving the slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and on the other hand, they r questioning Pakistan’s sovereign rights over deciding the fate of the people of Baltistan. I am from India Occupied Kashmir, and I am clearing telling you that none of Kashmiri leaders represent the people of Kashmir.
Dear so called leaders! take one stand and make it clear what role you are expecting from Pakistan to play in the region. How long this dirty politics and game of hypocrisy can help you? You are framing a bad imagine of kashmir and disappointing the aspirations of the people of Pakistan. You can’t destroy the emotional bonding that the people of Kashmir are sharing with the people of Pakistan. Pakistan has provided an unconditional support, be it economical, military, moral and what not to you, and u have been happily receiving it since decades. You have made our movement a directionless and hopeless movement, despite of the fact innocent kashmiris have been giving their lives for their cause since decades. History is witness that one leader, Salahuddin Ayaibi has changed the fate of the people of present Syria. One leader, Omar Al-Mukhtar has changed the destiny of the people of Libya. One leader Quaid-e Azam, Mohammad ali Jinnah, changed the fate of the Muslims of the subcontinent and a separate land for Muslim “Pakistan” Was created. There was “Ruh’ in their intentions and movement and Allah helped them. Do you have that “Ruh” in your movement? Do you actually mean “Nare Takbeer Allah o akber”? What are you fighting for?
You dont represent us and Please dont give black spot to our pure cause that we have been fighting from the past 70 years.

I agree. You have a right to determine your own self and future. We Kashmiris should ideally be supporting you in your self-determination your way. You are our brothers who took a lead. Allah bless you with all the barakah on your path to integration and progress
Many of us in Kashmir are unfortunately confused due to opression and propaganda. That is going to end soon. We shall join you in your marcch to full freedom, soon, inshaAllah. Pray for us as well.
Every soul on the face of earth should have right to self determination. Gilgit and Baltistan are an integral part of erstwhile Kashmir state. But in present situation which has partitioned our nation in 5 or 6 divisions it is for your betterment to get better opportunities and if complete merger with Pakistan provide you those things, we Kashmiris (Indian Occupied) are happy for you. Our leaders have decieved us time and again what good you will expect from such a bunch of crooks.
