Another firing incident in Gilgit – Bazar, two injured

Gilgit, September 12: Unidentified gunmen opened fire near Ramzan Hotel in Gilgit city, injuring two young people named Irfan and Iqbal. The injured were workers of a nearby hotel, according to initial reports.
The firing incident, reportedly, took place in front of police officials but those responsible could not be arrested, as they fleed into a narrow street in the vicinity. A large number of policemen reached the spot later, as the two injured young men were shifted to a hospital. According to police officials the injured are out of danger to life.
This is the second incident of firing in Gilgit Bazar since yesterday. Yesterday night younger brother of a police official, Changezi, was assasinated in what is being called an incident of personal rivalry.
