PT Report

Hunza, August 11: Scarcity of water for drinking and agriculture is being observed in Central parts of Hunza because of destruction caused by floods in Hassanabad and Ultar Nallas.

Water storage tanks are getting dry

Channels dug from the glacial stream of Hassanabad and Ultar for irrigation and supply lines of drinking water have been damaged during recent floods, causing severe shortage of water in the region.

The local people have demanded immediate action from the concerned authorities to restore supply of water to the densely populated central Hunza where water shortage is a major issue.
