GECA brings mountain music back to the capital

Islamabad, March 25: The Gojal valley community gathered at Lok Virsa open air theater to celebrate culture and advocate harmony and respect for diversity. The event was organized by Islamabad based Gojal Educational and Cultural Association (GECA).

Wakhi languages and songs were performed by artists and the audience throughout the day. Items focused on importance of preservation of the cultural heritage and promotion of meritorious education were also part of the programme that continued for around five hours, ending at around 9 pm on Saturday. Second par of the cultural programme will be held tomorrow.
