Grade-A T20 cricket tournament underway at Sost, Gojal Valley

Sost, July 18: Twelve teams from different parts of the Gojal Valley are competing in the annual Grade-A T20 cricket tournament at Afiatabad, Sost cricket ground. The tournament has jointly been organized by the Tehsil Sports Association and Sost Hussainabad Welfare Association.
On the first day of the tournament Ghulkin and Gulmit won their matches against Khyber and Sost, respectively.
On the second day, four more matches were played. In one of the matches Gulmit Young Stars Club defeated Moorkhun by chasing 156 runs in the given 20 rivers, with three wickets to spare. In other matches, Hussaini defeated Jamal Abad by two wickets, Khudabad defeated Passu by three wickets, and Khyber defeated Hussainabad by 47 runs.
Three matches were played on the third day (18th July). Al Joshi (Shimshal) were defeated by Shah Talib (Hussaini), who chased 143 runs target, with four wickets to spare. In the second match, Khudabad defeated Baba Ghundi by 70 runs, limiting them to 69 runs only, after giving a target of 139 runs, batting first.
In the third match, Sost defeated Moorkhun by 48 runs. They had scored 141, batting first.
