29 go missing in Gilgit after deep snowfall

GILGIT: Twenty-nine persons are still missing for the past 10 days in Darkot village of Gilgit valley due to heavy snowfall.According to reports, four families were residing in Darkot village, situated some eight kilometers far from Yasin tehsil. The village experienced about eight to nine feet deep snowfall following which 29 people went missing.

All the missing persons belong to Gojar cast, sources said, adding that people were sent to the village to locate them, but they had to return over snowfall. Courtesy: The News
