Diamer dam resettlement plan rejected
GILGIT, March 1: The representative committee of DiamerBhasha dam affected people has rejected the resettlement plan designed by Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda).
This was announced by the committee in a meeting with Chief Secretary Northern Areas Babar Yaqoob here. The committee said the plan had been formulated without public consultation and was against the interest of the affected areas.
The chief secretary said the government was committed to taking care of the community. He said the affected people would be taken on board while making decisions in regard with the construction of the dam.
He said a new committee should be formed which should come up with recommendations to the satisfaction of the affected people. He said the committee should also hold consultation with the community from village to village and review the rates of land which would be acquired for the construction of the dam.

It is a great delima with us that our dicsion are taken those people who are unaware about the area, it all happens b/c we as a nation of NAs are dead, we are in war of Chilacee, giliti,hunzai, nagri etc etc or we are suni ismaili and ishnashri, instead of this we as nation of NA should be united to face this sort of things, should be strike from Chilas up to Sost Gojal should showe those that your non to decided our future without consulting us. please be one nation, leave all petty issues, we are proud of our land weather it is chalas, gilgit, nagar or hunza, be one please please.
