KKH expansion work irks commuters
Hunza, 25 March: Communters are worst affectees of the ongoing expansion work on Karakuram Highway. The biggest difficulty for the commuters is lack of a selected time slot for blasting rocks and boulders with Dynamite. Commuters are left stranded on the KKH for several hours, everyday, because of blasts here and there. This not only costs in terms of time, it also endangers lives of the commuters.
There is a need for planning the blasts in such a way that commuters are not left to wait for hours, untill the rocks are removed from the road.
