  1. Dear all,

Yeah it is a sour reality, that have been highlighted by Ms. Asma jahangir the law and order situation in FATA and Swat exposed to every one where the so called religious fanatics have implemented their own laws and standards of living where the government already runaway, now all the area is under the control of these barbarians.

As regard as its impact on GB is concern we must be conscious and alert at all times as we have the disease from many decades where the terrorists can take advantage and strike.

We as a community should take it seriously because the security measurements within our community is questionable if such incidents starts in this region.

ARE WE EQUIPED FOR SUCH Circumstance ?????

    Kind Regards,

  3. Would the relegious elders be very kind enough to sit together and define a stretegy to jell to gether the people of north. it is a harsh reality that the people of the area divided on the basis of sectarian regardless of the fact that all of them are Muslim. the country at the moment is passing through not a very good time, unfortunatly, the Govt. in such situation seems to be helpless. so the nation themselves have to take care of their motherland in general and localities in particular.
it is the time for the poeople of the north to come together, forgett the past and paint the future before our common animies ( terrists) think to harm the people.

  4. We agree with the concerns shown by all moderate forces of Pakistan including Ms. Asma Jahangir of HRCP. It seems true as the security agencies are not different but rather less trained and focused to handle such situations.

Gilgit Bultistan has been a target of such elements in 1988, when an organized group supported by they then military dictator, Zia ul Haq targeted the area and burnt a whole village and the state machinery (police, para military forces and intelligence agencies) were never seen to have done anything to protect the masses.

Now the militants are more organized, trained, equipped and supported by unknown power as they have succeeded in Swat valley where people were very much armed as compared to Gilgit Baltistan, where the situation is entirely different.

It is need of the day that people should prepare themselves against such times and never rely on the agencies for protection at all. Suspicious movements of militants in disguise of traders, travelers and others should be monitored and community policing should be organized and implemented. People should be trained and given adequate awareness should be given to act in emergency situations.

May Allah, the Almighty protect us all against evil forces…Ameen.

  5. Unity always is the key for such challenges, if we unite together then no doubt that nothing happened to our freedom and no one is going to confront us.

  6. The current situation in Pakistan is quite volatile. Our political leaders have to design a strategy which must ensure the security of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.Our political leaders must be careful now and act properly . The leaders have to prior the interest of the people than their personal gains. Now it is an era of awareness and technology so making fool out of the people is actually fooling yourself.Infact the sectarian conflict is spreading like an epidemic, throughout the country. It is an awful act that our politicians are using religion for their own personal gains.

  7. A KIND OF REATALIATORY CONSPIRACY?

GILGIT-BALTISTAN, A VERY SENSITIVE LAND FOR PEACE AND HOSTILE, MY FANATIC VERSUS YOUR FANATIC. DOES ASMA JAHANGIR’S WARNING WILL SURPRISE ANYONE? OR THE LOCAL SECURITY AGENCIES WILL TAKE SOME PRECAUTIONERY MEASURES? I HEARED BEFORE A MONTH SOME LUNATICS INSURGENTS WERE CAUGHT IN GILGIT. WHO SUPPORT THESE PUPPITS IN GILGIT? ACTUALLY WE PEOPLE FROM ALL PART OF THE COUNTRY UNDER A SIEGE OF DIIFFERENT FRINGES. THEY JUST CHANGES FACE, SOME POLITICIAN, SOME TIME ARMY MAN, SOMTIME MULLA… THERE GOD LIVE OUT ABROAD, WE ARE USED. YOU WILL SEE FRUSTRATION AT EVERY STAGE, NOTHING IS GOINING RIGHTLY. DO WE NEED ANOTHER ZAB?
THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THIS MATTER I GOT IS TO WORKHARD FOR HISELF ONLY. COMMON CAUSES ARE WORTHLESS.
    AM I RIGHT?
SHAZIA, YOUR POST, THIS TIME THE GAME IS NOT IN HANDS OF POLITICIANS, OTHERWISE THEY WILL DO ANOTHER PACT IN GILGILT LIKE SWAT. IF IT HAPPENS THEN WHERE THE MODERATE CLASS WILL EMERGE?

  8. theese things r just romers and the main cause of these news r to create misunderstanding and fear in the area

  9. nothing will happen to our heaven………..v will all work together nd face these problems………don”t try to create fear among the peoples of NA”s…..v r all aware of the current situations……..thnx

  10. I think it is the responsibility of the moderate class to raise their voice against these self interested politicians. They play a crucial role in shaping the future of the people and the country. It is need of the hour that they should have to show their potential as leaders. They are exploiting the whole system by the policies which bent more towards their own benefits. We have to point them out.
