  1. —-Dear Readers
This the actual face of Gilgit-Baltistan. We all r proud on Ibrar and Essa Khan of SERENA Hotel Gilgit. Bothe of them proved that we the people of GB are above caste , creed and greedy.
—–This proves that, we have the petriotrisum owned blood in values of humanity, religious and cultural norms. Thanks to KARA for the appreciation but sorry to say not fulfilled his promise of widening the spill way with in fifteen days. We are the people to remember and the power to recall the past as well.

  2. Bravo, Ibrar, you have made us proud. I understand the gesture of the PIA Chief as their corporate social responsibility to offer employment to such a brave young man in the airline.

PIA being our national flag carrier has been serving the people of Gilgit Baltistan for a long time within their limited means. The people of the region besides many other regions have enjoyed relief in fares (socio economic fares). It has been a dream of many youngsters to be part of this national organization and the offer of appointment to Ibrar Ghazi on his bravery will definitely boost him and many other youngsters.

For the last many years PIA has been suffering financial difficulties and the burdon of the socio-economic fares on the domestic operations may have been one of the causes of financial losses.

The people of GB have been finding it difficult to get a seat on the filights for Gilgit-Baltistan for the last few years as the unfair practices by some illegal agents by the help of some elements in the PIA reservation have been charging huge amounts as bribe to get them seats on the flights, depriving the genuine passengers who want to book their seats and travel gracefully. I am a regular passenger of the airline but due to the current mess created by these agents, it is really a challenge to get a seat while I know people who bribe the PIA reservation staff through the agents can get a priority on those who do not want to bribe.

PIA being a commercial airline should also see and decide to increase the fare if there is such huge demand for seats and redress its financial losses on these sectors as the economic conditions of the people have definitely improved. The huge demand of seats on these sectors is mainly due to this fact.

It is my humble desire that the PIA management should take appropriate steps to streamline the procedure and put into place a transparent and equitable reservation system where there should not be any priority to any body. And the fare should be equal to (if not more then) the fare charged on the Islamabad Lahore route, to streamline the extra demand of seats in the season besides increasing the frequency of flights on Islamabad Gilgit sector.

    A well wisher of PIA.
