All Pakistan Aman Mushaira held in Baltistan

SKARDU: Renowned poets from different parts of Pakistan attended a very colourful Mushaira at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Skardu. The Mushaira was organized by a vibrant literary body, “Bazm-e-Ilm-o-Fun” (Forum of art and knowledge), at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, in Skardu.

Dedicated to peace, in the times of chaos, the poetic session asked the world to return to humanity, peace and prosperity.

Some of the most renowned national poets who presented their Kalam at the Mushaira were, Anwar Masood, Amjad Islam Amjad, Bushra Ijaz, Nusrat Masood, Rukhshanda Naveed and Anbareen Haseeb Anrabeen.

Renowned poets from Gilgit and Baltistan, Abdul Khaliq Taj, Muhammad Amin Zia, Jamshed Khan Dukhi, Aslam Sahar, Talib Hussain Talib, Ashiq and Abbas Jurat also presented their Kalam during the Mushaira, in front of a packed hall.

Apart from attending the Mushaira, the poets also visited the historical Khapulu Fort, recently renovated by the Aga Khan Cultural Services, Pakistan, in collaboration with the local communities. The poets also paid a visit to the famous Chaq-Chan Khanqah (worship place) of the Noor Bakhshi sect of Islam.

The below couplet painted on the backdrop asked the people of Pakistan to show resiliency in the wake of threats posed to peace.

وہ حیلہ گر ہیں، جو مجبوریاں شمار کریں

چراغ ہم نے جلائے ہوا کے ہوتے ہوئے

“Those counting the limitations and difficulties are making excuses. We have lit vigils in the presence of winds”.
