Anger in Gilgit – Baltistan over NATO strikes

Gilgit, November 30: The NATO attack at Pak – Afghan border has also angered people in the Gilgit – Baltistan region. Protest demonstrations were held in Skardu, the headquarters of Baltistan, yesterday to condemn the incident and express solidarity with the people of Pakistan.
Today, some leaders from Diamer district also expressed anger and resentment over the death of 27 people who died due to bombing by NATO choppers and jets. Speaking to the media, Inayat Ullah Shimali, Bashir Qureshi and others, representing Diamer Youth Movement, Diamer Students Federation and other mainstream regional and national parties.
Groups on Facebook are also abuzz with discussions, denouncing the attacks and expressing solidarity with the people of Pakistan, the country of which majority of the residents of GB want, one day, to become constitutional citizens.
