Two blasts near boundary walls of girls’ schools in Chilas

Gilgit, December 28: Unknown terrorists planted two locally improvised bombs near boundary walls of two girls schools in Chilas, headquarters of the Diamer District. The blasts happened in the middle of the night. Nobody was injured or killed, but the boundary walls and some rooms of both schools sustained minor damages.
Police have registered a case against unknown terrorists and launched an investigation.
The local people have strongly condemned the attacks and demanded of the government to provide maximum security to the schools and students.
According to police sources, one of the schools was being operated by the National Education Foundation.
Girls schools in Diamer have been targeted in the past also.
