Hundreds of thousands paid in bribe for SAC hiring: GB Law Minister

Gilgit, February 23: Provincial Law Minister Wazir Shkeel Ahmed has revealed that hrndred of thousands rupees were taken as bribe for recent recruitments in Supreme Apellate Court Gilgit Baltistan.
Adressing in Lgislative Assembly he revealed that the government had proof about acceptance of bribe for hiring of 26 people, during the last days of Justice Nawaz Abbasi as Chief Judge. He, however refrained from nominating any one for his involvement in this corruption.
Earlier Chairman Public Accounts Committee Razi ud Din while raising the issue blamed that ex chief judge Nawaz Abbasi before seven days of his retirement appointed 26 employees with out any test and interview. Terming these appointments a severe violation of law he demanded strict action against all those persons who were responsible for this unlawful recruitments.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Mehdi Shah clarifying his position informed the house that salaries of all 26 employees had been stoped.
