Gilgit: Fourth anniversary of Radio Pakistan’s Khowar programme observed

Gilgit, April 1: The fourth anniversary of Radio Pakistan Gilgit’s Khowar language programme was celebrated today. Speaking at ceremony organized in this connection MLA Ayub Shah emphasized the positive role of media in social development and peace-building. Station Director Alam Khan also spoke on the occasion. Producer of Khowar Language, Wajid Ali Yasini also addressed the ceremony.

The speakers emphasized the role of radio in reaching out to the remotest areas of Gilgit – Baltistan, at a very low cost. They emphasized on the radio artists and news readers to play an active role in development of Khowar language.
