Chief Minister Cup Football Tourney started in Chitral

CHITRAL: Chief Minister Football Tournament 2012 kicked at Drosh some 45 KM from here. Some 28 Football teams participating in this tournament. It was organized by Alhilal Society Drosh and New Star Society Koro Drosh. District president of Awami National Party (ANP) Syed Muzafar Jan was chief guest on the inauguration ceremony. Chief guest after introduction and shaking hand with players stressed upon both team that winning and lost are the component of match and you never hearted if you not won the match. He said that games and matches are best for physically exercises.

First match of the tournament was contested between Alhilal football team and Silver star Drosh football team. Players of both teams played aggressively and no team could score any goal until last time hence Raphery given extra ten minutes for penalty. Silver start team defeated Alhilal team with four goals than three and won the match with 1 goal. It is worth to mention here that there is no public stadium in the area as a result youth and some best players could not exhibit their skill to join national and international teams.
