  1. Thanks to USAID for donating ambulance to The disaster hit Gojal that is still deprived of a single MBBS doctor from the Govt.Health department instead of many promises. When theambulance is recieved hope the community will make a mechanism for its operation and not let it to be used for VIPs and other useless purposes. But the priority need of the people is doctor and medicine with 24 hour service at least in Gulmit and Sost Gojal. If govt is not capable of fulfilling its promises then it should stop to make further empty promises and claims.

  2. The impact of emergency boat service in isolation will not be significant without comprehensive emergency health care plan for the disconnected population of Gojal valley. I submitted a proposal to Pamir Times and also written to the representatives of the region for establishing an effective emergency services, which will improve the acute care of the patients ,including upgrading Gulmit Civil Hospital, emergency boat service and well equipped ambulance to shift patient from Attaabad spillway to hospitals in Gilgit. unfortunately I have not received any response ,this may not be on the priority of list of the representatives of the region.

  5. If this is materialized then this credit goes to Gulmit Educational and Social Welfare Organization (GESWO) who demanded to the Mission Director USAID Kareen Freeman during her visit to Gulmit on 8th July 2012 to visit the under construction Al Amyn Girls Hostel alongwith the representatives of NRSP. A written proposal to provide emergency boat ambulances and two harbors, one at Hussaini port and another at Attabad Spillway. The effort of NRSP might in place to materialize. The Mission Director herself witnessed the insulting situation at Attabad Spillway. It is indeed a good news for all of us but the matter is to manage the equipment and facilitate the public.
