Gilgit: Journalists protest against ban or bike riding

Gilgit, November 22: Journalists in Gilgit city are facing difficulties due to the ban on bike riding imposed by the government as part of the Moharram security plan. The Union of Journalists and members of the press club had requested the administration to exempt the journalists from the ban. However, the administration has failed to fulfill the demand, irking members of the  journalistic fraternity.

The members of Gilgit Press Club, City Press Club and Union of Journalists have said that they will boycott all the gatherings of the district administration and no coverage will be given to their activities.
