Mehdi Shah asks SCO to spread ICT services to all remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad, January 29: Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah today called on the Director General of Special Communication Organization (SCO), Major General Muhammad Khalid Rao, here in Rawalpindi. Mehdi Shah appreciated the role of SCO in promotion of information and communication technology in the region. He urged the DG to bring more remote villages in the cellular-loop, to benefit more people.
CM also told the SCO Director General about the plight of non-permanent employees of the organization. He urged the DG to regularize the jobs of temporarily hired people in the region.
Major General Rao assured the Chief Minister that all steps will be taken to facilitate the people in Gilgit-Baltistan.
CM has suggested SCO Director General to regularize non-permanent employees of the organization, means what you have done in PIA, Railway and other Corporate Institutions to benefit bunch of people and damage the overall structure of the institution.
