Protesters across Gilgit-Baltistan demand action against terrorists

Skardu/Gilgit/Hunza, February 19: Thousands of proteters were on the roads in Gilgit-Baltistan for the third consecutive day today, expressing solidarity with victims of the Quetta bomb blast that killed around 90 people, mostly from the Hazara (Shia) community. The protesters also demanded strict and merciless action against the terrorists.
In Skardu the speakers said that the government and the state institutions have failed to protect the citizens, especially the people of Hazara community in Quetta.
In Gilgit, Syed Rahat Al-Hussaini and Sheikh Mirza Ali led the sit-in protests in Khomar and the Bazar area, attended by hundreds of people. Protesters also blocked the roads in Hunza-Nagar and recorded their protest against the massacre.
The protest demonstrations were organized by Shia Ulema Council, Jafaria Alliance and other Shia organizations. People from all walks of life and sects attended the protest demonstrations.
