PRCS organized free medical camp in Kargah valley, Gilgit
Gilgit, February26: Pakistan Red Crescent Society Gilgit-Baltistan (PRCS) organized a two-day free medical camp in Kargah valley, a remote and disaster prone area of district Gilgit.
The camp was supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) through its joint Psycho Social Support Program with PRCS. PRCS GB Doctors along with supporting staff checked up hundreds of patients and gave required medicines to them while Psycho Social Support and cultural activities were also carried out during the camp.
PRCS is a humanitarian organization dedicated to improving lives of the most vulnerable segments of the society through basic health facilities,providing relief to the victims of disasters and disseminating humanitarian values, said Dr Younas Provincial Health Officer of PRCS while addressing the camp.
He urged the people to take advantage from this facility. PRCS Psycho Social Support Officer Aziz Ali explained the basic objectives of Psycho Social Support Program and its activities in his speech.
