Gilgit: Two sentenced to death in DSP Ibrahim murder case, two get life in prison

Gilgit, September 10: Two people accused of murdering DSP Ibrahim have been sentenced to death by an Anti-Terrorism Court here. According to details, Azhar, son of Johar Khan, a resident of Barmas ward of Gilgit, and Shaukat, alias Major, a resident of Khomer ward, have been sentenced to death. The condemned to death convicts will also spend 10 years each in prison.

Their two accomplices, Sajjad, son of Gulab (Khomer) and Wajahat, son of Muhammad Bashir (Khomer) have been imprisoned for life. All the convicts have also been ordered to pay 3 lac rupees each as fine.

The slain DSP was shot dead near Nagaral at around 7 O clock in the evening on 4th January 2012, in front of his house.
