Gilgit: First Aid training for journalists concluded

Gilgit, November 28: (PR) The 3-day Dissemination cum First Aid training for journalists organized by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Gilgit-Baltistan provincial branch came to an end on Thursday. Chief Organizer PMLN GB Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.

Speaking at the occasion, Hafeez appreciated the efforts and quick response of PRCS during disasters at regional level and for providing relief and rehabilitation programs in the times of peace. He assured to discuss the challenges and financial constrains faced by PRCS with PMLN’s federal government and also promised to arrange a meeting of PRCS management with the President of Pakistan in Islamabad.

He emphasized on establishment of PRCS offices in all district headquarters to make the organization more efficient and effective during the times of disaster.

Earlier,  Asif Hussain, Chairman PRCS elaborated the organization’s achievements and the financials constrains it faces. He also urged the media to highlight  the issue at regional and national level.

PRCS’s Provincial Secretary Noor-ul-ain discussed the challenges faced by PRCS GB branch in her speech.

The journalists were provided with First Aid Kits and certificates at the end of the training.
