Shahid Naeem shines at Forman Christian College 127th Athletics Championship
Lahore, February 27: Forman Christian College – A Chartered University, celebrated its 127th Athletics Championship.
Every year FCCU provide an opportunity to students show up hidden potentials in sports by arranging Annual Athletic Championship. Shahid Ali Naeem, a student hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan, shined during the championship winning the Champions Trophy and got the award of being the second best athlete of the year. He is the only student from Gilgit-Baltistan to achieve this feat.
Shahid won Gold Medals in five events, including 5000 meters race, 1500m race, 800m race, 400m meters race and 4*400. He also won the Bronze medals in the Javelin-throw, Soft Drink race and Pillow Fight.
Naeem said that his achievements are a result of hard work and prayers of his parents. He also thanked the former coach of Forman Christian College, Mr. Arshad, Mr. Basheer, Mr. Baber kamil and Mr. Shahzad for the support they provided.
