Residents of Charoon, Oveer seek govt attention for provision of basic amenities

Chitral, May 6: Residents of Charoon Oveer have demanded provision of basic rights and facilities at a public meeting held at attended by newly elected Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Syed Sardar Hussain and other local notables.
Addressing on the occasion elders of the area sai that Charoon Oveer is still remote and backward in this era of information technology. They said that residents of the area are deprived of blacktop and metal road, drinking and irrigation water as well as from health and education facilities.
MPA Sardar Hussain assured the locals that he will try his best to solve their problems. He said that earmarked fund for this backward area will never be embezzled by contractors and corrupt officials. He stressed upon the people to be united for getting their right. He said that some 30000 expired bags of wheat will be destroyed and fresh wheat will He said that he will allocate fund for maintenance of the road but it need a huge amount.
MPA emphasized on local people to participate in volunteer services to do your works on self help basis. He thanked local people for casting their precious vote in his favor and assured them that he will never disappoint people of PK-90 irrespectively of any affiliation.
Gul Jee a social worker of this valley who is settled at Canada said that we carry our patients especially women patients on shoulders in cot to Booni hospital but sometimes they expire before reaching the hospital because of dilapidated condition of this earthen road having big ditches in its middle.
Some school going children demanded from the provincial government for establishment of girls high school and boy college as well as posting of a doctor in its only Basic health Unit. A large number of people attended the public meeting and demanded for provision of basic rich and human amenities.
