Human Rights activist, Syed Akram Hussain has passed away in Chitral

Chitral, June 11:  Prominent social worker, human rights activist and air traffic control officer Syed Akram Hussain Shah passed away due to cardiac attack yesterday.

He suddenly fell sick and was rushed to the DHQ hospital in the morning for treatment where he passed away. His body was shifted to his native town of Brashgram (Karim Abad Sosoum valley) where he was laid to rest.

Syed Akram Shah was known for visiting different remote parts of Chitral to highlight violations of human rights and to support the needy people.  

Syed Akram Shah left 2 wives and 4 children.  A large number of people belonging to all walk of life attended his funeral prayer.  

This correspondent was also a member of the Board of Directors in human rights organization Chitral and shared very memorable time with the deceased.
