LSO’s Youth Convention started in Chitral
Chitral, September 7: LSOs Youth Convention-2014 kicked off in Chitral today. AKRSP in collaboration with Chitral Community Development Network (CCDN), a network of Local Support Organizations (LSOs) in Chitral, has arranged this 2-days event.
Deputy Commissioner Chitral Mr. Amin ul Haq was chief guest at the event. Sharing development experience and showcasing development activities are the major components of this forum. Mr. Sardar Auyb, Regional Programme Manager Chitral formally welcomed the guests and shared the components and activates being carried out under EELY (Enhancing employability and Leadership for Youth). Core objective of the forum, said Mr. Fazal Malik, Manager Institutional Development AKRSP Chitral, is to bring AKRSP partners, service providers and EELY beneficiaries together to share their experience and knowledge regarding their youth development activities and identify the way-forward for the inclusion of youth in the development process of Chitral.
While talking to the audience DC Chitral showed his appreciation to the development work that AKRSP and LSO are doing. He assured them full support from his administration. Later he visited the stalls where by various LSOs, youth organizations, young entrepreneurs and service providers have showcased their activities carried out under EELY.
In the second session the beneficiaries of EELY shared their experiences with the participants. The forum was attended by over 200 delegates of various organizations.
