Anita and Meboob Ali from Gilgit-Baltistan to attend UNDP’s conference

Gilgit: UNDP Pakistan is going to organize a national conference for young MNAs of national youth assembly this week at Marriot Hotel Islamabad.  The theme of the conference is “Technology & Strengthening of Democracy, Opportunity and Challenges” in Pakistan”.

Ms. Anita Ammacha Shigri and Rajh Mehboob Ali Khan young MNA from Skardu Giget- Baltistan have nominated by the organizing committee to attend this conference representing Gilgit Baltistan. Ms. Anita Ammacha Shigri is a brilliant student of Defense and strategic Studies Department at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad whereas Rajh Mehboob Ali Khan has recently completed his MS International Business from University of London (UK). Both of them have recently elected as young MNA National Youth Assembly.

Representatives of National Youth Assembly from all provinces include FATA and GB are participating this conference. This is first time to represent GB in annual national conference organized by UNDP Pakistan. On hearing, this good news our correspondent from Skardu talked with Ms. Anita and Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan asking their views and ideas to highlight the issues concerned to youth and constitutional rights of GB. They said to our correspondent that they are really going to highlight the issues concerned to youth and the real issues of the people of Gilgit Baltistan and its constitutional status. They added that they are hopeful to convince the forum regarding the real basic issues and lacking of human basic rights being Pakistani for which the people of GB is waiting for the last 49 years of independence.
