Gilgit, February 12: A criminal case has been registered against the members and office bearers of Muslim Students Organization Gilgit-Baltistan, a proscribed organization, today at Chilas City Police Station.
According to police sources, after registration of FIR the accused named Muhammad Raqib, Waseer Ahmad, Sherullah and Abdul Haseeb have been detained by the police and a Joint-Investigation-Team (JIT) has been formed to probe the charges leveled against them.
It is pertinent to note that the National Action Plan (NAP) has been extended to Gilgit-Baltistan region recently, which entails measures for curbing extremism, militancy and terrorism, as well as forming of military courts to trial terror suspects.
