Diamer: Joint search operation launched after attack on Rangers Checkpost

Gilgit/Chilas, March 15: Teams from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts and the GB Police have been dispatched to the border area of Diamer and Kohistan district where a checkpost of the Rangers was attacked last night.
According to details, the teams have been dispatched for a search operation on choppers. 70 officers and soldiers from Pakistan Army, 21 from Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts, 44 from Gilgit-Baltistan Police and 19 from the Rangers are part of the search operation teams, said an official.
The teams were sent for the search operation at around 12, noon.
Five soldiers of the Rangers had been injured in last night attack carried out by unidentified terrorists.
