PM Sharif briefed about power projects in Gilgit-Baltistan
Islamabad: (PR) Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here this morning. Member Central Executive Committee PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan Mr. Sultan Madad was also present during the meeting.
The Prime Minister was apprised of the status of ongoing power generation projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Prime Minister directed that all efforts should be made to ensure that these projects are timely completed so that electricity shortfall in the country may be reduced.
Mr. Sultan Madad informed the Prime Minister that people of the area have whole-heartedly welcomed the development projects announced by the Prime Minister during his previous visit to Gilgit and are confident that their completion would bring a qualitative improvement in their lives.
