“Islamabad Liaison Office” of Supreme Appellate Court closed

Gilgit: The Chief Judge of Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan, Justice Dr. Rana Shamim has ordered closure of the apex court’s Islamabad Liaison Office. He has said that the liaison office is of no significance anymore, and therefore it should be closed.

Two 18 grade officers deputed in Islamabad to manage the Liaison Office have been ordered to report back in Gilgit.

The decision will result in savings of up to 15 million rupees annually, said a handout released to the media.
