Yesterday strong winds blew in the Upper reaches of District Hunza, uprooting trees, demolishing walls and damaging wooden cabins in Passu, Hussani, Ghulkin, Shishkat and Gulmit village.

These photographs depict the carnage caused by the winds.

It is pertinent to note that strong winter winds are common in the Gojal Valley during winters and early spring.
