Gilgit-Baltistan delegation led by CM Hafeez visiting Xinjiang, China
Islamabad: A fourteen-member delegation of the Gilgit-Baltistan Government, led by the Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, is visiting Urumqi from 22-27th of March.
The delegation will hold meetings with government officials and business leaders in Urumqi to finalize various project ideas an sectors were discussed last year. A 40-member delegation of the Xinjiang’s Autonomous region had visited Gilgit-Batlistan in July 2016.

The GB delegation includes Chief Secretary Tahir Hussain, Vice Chairman Board of Investment Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Nazeemul Amin, Secretary to CM Sibtain Ahmad, Power Secretary Zafar Waqar Taj, Health Secretary Saeedullah Khan Niazi, Secretary Planning Babar Aman Babar, Education Secretary Sana Ullah Khan, Additional Secretary Liaqat Ali, DG Gilgit Development Authority Imran Ali Sultan, Deputy Chief Planning Department (CPEC Unit) Sajjad Haider, Shuja Alam, Deputy Director Information Department Farooq Ahmad and Chamber of Small Industries and Commerce GB Qurban Ali.
The delegation will stay in China till 27th of March.
