GB govt urged not to appoint unqualified people on positions meant for professional engineers
GILGIT: The Pakistan Engineering Council has urged the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan to refrain from appointing unqualified individuals on posts reserved for professional engineers.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Council’s Chairman Jawed Salim Qureshi has said that appointing non-engineers on professional seats is not only illegal, and criminal, but also brings into question the quality of the work being done.
Professional, qualified, engineers in Gilgit-Baltistan have been protesting against the appointment of diploma-holders on professional engineers’ seats.
