They said that instead of celebrating the Kashmir Solidarity Day, they will ‘go the public’ and observe Gilgit-Baltistan Rights Day, from now on.
The Ministers said that they condemn India’s cruel oppressions of Kashmiris. However, they said that Gilgit-Baltistan is their priority.
The press conference was reportedly held against the wishes of Chief Minister Hafeez ur Rehman, who is also the PMLN President for Gilgit-Baltistan. However, during the press conference the PMLN leaders emphasized that they are not forming a ‘forward bloc’ in the party.
The ministers said that their first and last priority is Pakistan, and they are not considering any other option. They said that the Sartaj Aziz Committee’s recommendations are suitable for provision of fundamental rights to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
