Passu Settlement is Safe

According to recent updates from Ismaili Local Council for Gulmit,  passu settlement is now safe from the flood water resulted from burst of Passu glacier on Sunday evening. The evacuated people are now back to their houses. The flood water has damaged just the office of Sea breeze Hotel and some cattlesheds. initially about 40 houses were under threat but later due to shif of the direction of water these houses are safe.

The local administartion visited Passu village during sunday night and informed upper athorities about the incidence. FOCUS team has also visited the glacier area from where the water is flowing. The team will gather initial information for further actions. KKH is also safe however the water has totally damaged a link road.
