Gilgit: Extended curfew break, schools and banks open

Gilgit, April 16: The government has allowed eight hours of curfew break in Gilgit today, the longest break so far. Banks, schools and some government offices have been opened.

The break is likely to support the common people who have been confined to their houses since April 3 when a strict curfew had been imposed in the city after sectarian riots broke out, leading to the death of around 20 people in Gilgit and Chilas.
