NAB arrests three officers of GB Education Department on charges of corruption, illegal recruitments
Gilgit: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Gilgit-Baltistan has arrested three officers of the Education Department on charges of illegally recruiting more than 1300 teachers and other staff. They also stand accused of embezzling tens of millions of rupees. The arrested officers include former Director of Education Raja Nasir, Deputy Director Shah Murad and Deputy Director Mirbaz Ali.
The three officials were presented before a judge who granted the police 15 days of judicial remand for the accused officers.
It is pertinent to note that Raja Nasir and Mirbaz had in the past been held responsible after an enquiry, and they were forcibly retired during the last government.

The case has been reopened by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the officer have been arrested for further questioning.
